The beginning of "hell" - 1/3

Calle de Lima

When I returned to my country I was in a much better shape. My sensibility and buzzing had reduced considerably. However, the next year (2005), following another acute exposure to sound, which took place at my house, the buzzing and my sensitivity problems returned.

In 2006, following several unexpected exposures to high sounds due to my musical activity, and also because of the extremely loud noise in the street, my situation worsened considerably in only 7 months, becoming a severe condition.

In November of this year , unable to tolerate the environmental noise outside, my complete isolation at home begun with a severe case of hyperacusis and tinnitus, which were getting worse every day. This confinement implied for me the beginning of “hell”, that following I describe:

Tinnitus

While I was remaining hopeful of finding someday a specialist that may be able to help me, I must overcome the evermore elevated level of bussing in my ears, which sound was like a whistle, an engine, an electric generator, the horn of an automobile, the sound of bells, white noise, etc. Two or three of these sounds appeared simultaneously, some of them were constant, while others appeared on and off.

After some time, I begun feeling a sort of heartbeat that accompanied the bussing in my left ear, and when I turned my head slightly towards my chest, all that sensation increased considerably.

Besides, when I lowered my head (bending over), a ring appeared in both ears, quite different from the normal buzzing.
